i cant gain healthy weight(muscle) help

I started to exercise since I was 14 but i didnt knew anything about wight lifting so i besacally only did isolation movments with very very light weight and didnt progress at all but i got more tone.Right now im 15 and i been on the swim team for 2 years and still lift but i notice i couldnt go...
