Loosing Weight Fast = EXTREME Muscle Loss? How bad?

I'm curious if anyone here that has been lifting for atleast 3-6 Years+ Has gone through a big Weightloss transformation? I'm curious to see your results/opinion.. But mostly if anyone has done it quickly VS a slow/Moderate pace cut(2.5-3.5lb per week vs around 1-2 Per week) .. On low calories...
