My lack of motivation makes me unable to keep activating my muscles

When I'm doing something especially bench press I can't keep all my muscles tensed up to prep for it, it's like every muscle in my body has a separate endurance gauge and they're all depleted. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? I always felt that the best motivation is to just go and do it...
