Lifting same muscle group in 48 hours too soon?

Misk I PR'd last Friday on some lifts, did the same body parts today and felt like utter chit. I though 48 hours was enough rest to do the same body part? Not the same exercises, but same muscle groups and lifts were harder and lower than they normally were.
