Gaining muscle without counting macros?

So I'm working out just for gaining muscle and looking good, not really into competitive bodybuilding or extreme detail, do you guys still count your macros for that? I literally eat up to my limit every 3 hours to the point where I'm still full before my next meal, but I still won't grow...
