Torn muscle? Or just a bad pull?

Today while doing the leg press with heavier weight, I managed to hurt myself pretty badly. My gluteus maximus developed a sharp pain that kept me from continuing that workout. I tried to brush it off as nothing and tried to continue but I found even walking to be rather painful. Does anyone know...
