Does being stressed out/having a lot of anxiety burn muscle?

Right now I'm fat but when I'm not fat I'm skinny fat. I have pretty severe depression and anxiety and I've always been skinny fat. Reading about how stress and anxiety mess with cortisol levels and burn muscle and People who stress out a lot tend to be skinny fat? Is this true? Can anyone...
