Muscle loss when cutting calories too low

My current calories are at 1500 (maintance 2500) and I am hoping to loose weight a little bit fast for an upcoming event. I would move Calories down for the next week just to show off for a pool party. After the week is over I would move them back up to 1500. Is this safe? Will I loose muscle?...

Injured trap muscle
