Fat Loss/Muscle/Loose Skin

Just a few questions ^^ 1. I was told that you could maintain a decent amount of ur muscle mass even at a 1200 calorie diet assuming you were eating the correct amount of protein, is this true? 2. If someone is young are they less likely to get loose skin after a decent amount of weight loss...
